CHRIS BENZ
One of New York's hottest new talents, Chris Benz, first caught the attention of the fashion world after winning the CFDA's Emerging Talent Award for his graduate collection from New York's Parson's School of Design. After interning at Marc Jacobs and designing womenswear for US brand J Crew, Benz launched his own line in 2007 and it has quickly become the go-to label for the hip downtown crowd. A mixture of relaxed tomboy trousers, easy-to-wear printed silk dresses, loose-fitting tailored jackets and bright chiffon tops, often styled with shiny menswear brogues, ‘It's all about relaxed, confident style,” he explains of his signature look. Being snapped at all the hottest fashion week parties with stylish pals, Lancôme model Elettra Rossellini Wiedemann (daughter of Isabella Rossellini) doesn't hurt his ‘it' boy credentials either.
