Kristian Aadnevik
‘Luxury' and ‘sex appeal' are the buzz words for Norwegian born Kristian Aadnevik's rock and roll collections. The 30-year-old designer, known for his high octane glamour, graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2002 and, after stints at Harrods and Charles Jourdan, launched his eponymous line in 2004. He went on to make friends in high places including Donatella Versace, who personally selected him as her protégé in the International showcase set up by Vogue Italia Editor Franca Sozzani. Now showing in Milan, his lineups feature the kind of head-turning eveningwear that is destined for the red carpet, from body-hugging, bustier mini dresses and feather-bedecked capelets to metallic coats, all embellished with couture-like detailing.
