Kinder
Until very recently Kinder Aggugini has been a fashion insider’s secret. The Milan-born, London-based designer graduated from Central Saint Martins in 1988 and worked on Savile Row and then with everyone who’s anyone in fashion from John Galliano and Vivienne Westwood to Calvin Klein and Donatella Versace, before launching a consultancy dubbed Kinder Fashion Design in 1997. So it was no surprise that, after 20 years in the wings, Kinder’s own label won immediate acclaim from editors and buyers alike and the first collection (for S/S 2005) was quickly snapped up by some of London’s coolest boutiques. Inspired by Coco Chanel and Sid Vicious, the look juxtaposes masculine and feminine elements and draws on punk and classic style. Choose from timeless designs like boyish, tailored jackets worn over feminine yet modern print dresses, embellished with vintage beads and buttons.
